Glory or Dishonour 2011
March 12
and 13 of 2011
March 2011 saw the third edition of
Glory or Dishonour. Our annual WAB event is growing every
year with contestants from England, Belgium, Germany, France
and the Netherlands. As with previous years we had two
tournaments run simultaneously. One concentrating on the
Ancient period and the other on the Dark Ages.
We had 26 people from the UK, Germany, France and the
Netherlands attending.

4500 pts three generals battle
As with previous years we had two
tournaments run simultaneously. One concentrating on the
Ancient period and the other on the Dark Ages.
Both tournaments consisted of four games. In the end the
highest scoring player would be declared victor in his or
her tournament.

A fight in the snow
Alex, from Comitatus Figurines, had
brought along his store to sell us even more nice
miniatures.
Jasper, Christie and Guy from Ancient
Warfare, Medieval Warfare and Wargames, Soldier and Strategy
magazines, were kind enough to bring their booth and show us
new issues of their magazines and sell discounted
issues/subscriptions.

Every player recieved this limited
(only 60 pieces exist!) Frisian warrior model
Upon arriving in the venue contestants
gained a bag full of goodies. Jasper was kind enough to
provide us with back issues from WSS and Ancient Warfare
magazines. On top of that we had Bill Thornhill from
Musketeer Miniatures sculpt us a Frisian warlord of which
only 60 have been made! We also gave everybody a
participation certificate to prove they entered the
tournament. Everybody felt a winner already!

One of the 5 battles played
During the course of two days many
hard fought battles led up to inevitable prizegiving.
. All battles had been fought in the
true spirit of wargaming namely, FUN!
A big thank you to all attending and
making it possible for us to hold this event! A special
welcome to our sponsors and friends from Gripping Beast,
Comitatus figures and Ancient Warfare magazine!

A scene from the Dark Age battles

Comitatus' little shop of horrors
We rented a real cloister for our
participants to rest in. In the evening we had a very lovely
dinner and a few glasses of water… all of which was
accompanied by good friends and tall stories.
Lunch was served on both days by our wonderful wives, thank
you very, very much for helping us out!
